Can you tell me how hard swapping the electronics were? The whole reason I am wanting to do this is becuase the ignition on my 103 went out. I had a replacement newer engine that was a little different. I figure out the wiring but when I went to remove the fly wheel from the engine the crank actually cracked at the tip with the threads and I can not properly set time. Effectively making my engine useless.I want to simply unbolt. Rebolt and do minimal wiring.

It says it comes with everything but a ignition box. Are 'ignition boxes' universal.

Does it matter what I get and how / where does it get wired in. Does the engine come with clear instructions? Thanks!!!!. When I got mine it came with an 'ignition box' or CDI box. I think the instructions were in french so I just kinda figured it out.Basically, if you get a box you plug the box into the ignition plug then you'll have to match/wire the rest. I'm unsure what the stock/your wiring harness looks like but these are the colors and wires you'll have to deal with.Black wire is to coil,Pink is power wire for lights (12V so check your headlight and taillight see if the bulbs will work),Yellow/green kill switch wire,Yellow/green ground.I also have a picture which outlines the wiring as well I'll PM you. Other than that everything should bolt up fine just like the stock engine. I know there are two original wiring setups on the 103.

Depending on the ignition used from factor. Some people had problems swapping engines because the wires were not the same colors and may have been some difference in the amount of wires between the two types of original ignitions. I was worried would not be able to easily figure it out. The one I am looking at says it does not come with a ignition box.

I didn't know if I should be looking for a particular one or if any listed as fitting will be the same.
