Xiaomi Hongmi (meaning “red rice” in Mandarin) or Redmi as it is known in Singapore has long been a best-selling device for the so called “Apple of China.” In its own backyard, Xiaomi is selling this smartphone for less than $150. If you’re living in the Western hemisphere, you must get it from some importer like, which is asking $180 for the unlocked, SIM-free device. That’s still an awesome price for what you get in return. Simply put, no other device will deliver such value for the money. The Hongmi packs a Corning Gorilla Glass 2-protected 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, MediaTek’s MT6589T quad-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, and just 4GB of internal storage though you can expand it with microSD cards. It has a rather decent 8-megapixel camera on the back, and 1.3-megapixel one on the front. There’s also a 2,000 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and a usual set of sensors.Plus, let’s not forget two SIM card slots, one of which can be used for connecting to HSPA networks, whereas the other one is GSM-only. Let’s go through the hardware first, shall we.

Very disappointed, xiaomi doesn’t release xiaomi Mipad yet today, Only 500 pieces of Mipad which are available for testing now. We will explore the hardware performance and that of MIUI ROM on the tablet. When talking about the MiPad, the highlight is of course the Tegra K1 chip and the 2048×1536 Retina display screen. The Retina display lives up to its name and the naked eye would be hard pressed to discern the individual pixels.

Coupled with a piece of Corning Gorilla Glass III, the display is clear and vivid. Due to Xiaomi Mipad is during in testing period, all trial data which are only for reference.Based on just the Nvidia Tegra K1 and the retina display, it’s still a stretch to say that the iPad Mini has been beaten. The user experience through the tablet enhanced MIUI ROM would have to step up for the challenge. Let’s take a look! There is a page next to the MiPad’s Home screen that you can only place gadgets on (no app icons allowed here). The gadgets can be arranged to the user’s preference, although the unused space at the sides could have been managed better.Very disappointed, xiaomi doesn’t release xiaomi Mipad yet today, Only 500 pieces of Mipad which are available for testing now.

SGD 302 for the 16GB version and SGD 343 for the 64GB version.

While all versions of WiFi are catered, GPS, 3G, LTE are missing. The Nvidia Tegra K1 chip is clocked at 2.2Ghz and coupled with a 2GB LPDDR3 RAM module. Based on this configuration, the MiPad can only be said to be a middle of the road tablet. Now let’s take a look at some benchmark scores to see if that changes our opinion. The MiPad returns very impressive scores and absolutely owns the 8 inch tablet market. The performance of the hardware, coupled with the impresive Retina screen, does allow us to overlook its shortcomings and sweeten the deal.To compare with the cheapest iPad mini with Retina display costs $399, but today it’s being undercut by a competitor that goes to great lengths to emulate everything about Apple’s popular tablet. Xiaomi’s Mi Pad has the same 7.9-inch screen size and even the same 2048 x 1536 resolution, while its color scheme, shape, and design are all evocative of Apple’s iPhone 5C lineup.

In fact, Xiaomi openly acknowledges that it’s using the same materials as on the “unapologetically plastic” 5C. Its customized MIUI interface running atop Android seems to take similar inspiration from the look of iOS 7.Posted in 、 Tagged. Beginning of disassemble the device,. The tablet bears similarity to both Apple’s iPad Mini and iPhone 5c. On the front of the tablet we have a 7.9” 2048×1536 IPS display (sourced from both Sharp and AUO Optronics) which is surrounded by an asymmetrical bezel.

On the back we have a plastic shell of multiple different colors which Xiaomi itself states is made with the same injection molding technology as the iPhone 5c. There is also an 8MP Sony camera on the back with an F/2.0 aperture, and a 5MP camera on the front. The most interesting part of the Mi Pad is not on the outside, it’s on the inside. The MiPad is the first consumer device to be announced that is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 SoC.Beyond the SoC, the other internal specs for the MiPad include a 25.46 Whr (6700mAh) battery, 16 or 64GB of internal NAND, and a MicroSD slot.

Connectivity includes support for 802.11 b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0. As with other Xiaomi devices, the MiPad runs Android with the MIUI UI atop it. It will launch in China sometime in June priced at 1499 yuan ($240) for the 16GB model and 1699 yuan ($272) for the 64GB model.Posted in Tagged 、、. Since Hugo Barra taking office, xiaomi this brand had walked out from domestic market, there are 4 international markets it accessed: HONG KONG, TAIWAN, Singapore & Malaysia. Also, the Philip will be xiaomi next market, and then go to Indian market.

In meantime, miui.co.in is official belong to xiaomi already, they are preparing for entering indian market.Go back for topic, the casing is made up of a single-piece aluminum, created by high precision CNC digital cutting. It can fully charge your iPhone 5s for 4.5 times and your iPad Mini for 1.5 times. The design is simple, the power button, indicator lights, micro USB input port and USB output port are all located on the same side. Please don’t anyhow give comment if you didn’t or can’t afford a Note 3. No way Mi3 is up to Note3 in term of user friendly and performance.1st: Your so-called bloatware of Note3 actually brings Note 3 a lot more function and doesn’t make the Note 3 lagg at all.2nd: Note 3 have SPen, FHD Super Amoled Display compare to MI3 FHD IPS LCD. Yes you can say Mi3 offers more natural color but if you view side by side, Note 3 saturation and contrast blows Mi3 out of water easily.

The display of Note 3 is state-of-the-art as reviewed by many many website.3rd: Mi3 doesn’t have Smart Stay, Motions, Quick Glance and alot more user-convenience function like Note 3.4th: Note3 have 3GB RAM, which mostly we use about 1.5GB-2GB, with extra 1GB left there. Mi3 only offer 2GB RAM. Both are DDR3.5th: Icons and Menu of Mi3 actually look alot boring than Note3.6th: Last but not least, Note 3 come with 32GB 4G(LTE) and still you can add up to 64GB Micro SD, where Mi3 only offers 3G WCDMA and 16GB with usable 13.3GB. No way out of this world you can add extra memory to the Mi3.There were a lot advantages of Note3 over Mi3, I will list down more if I manage to find it out! Anyway, price speaks, RM889, it worth every single cent you paid!

Posted in Tagged 、、、、. Finally, we’ve got to play with Xiaomi Mi3, the phone we’ve been hearing about so much in the past few months. As you may know, Xiaomi has been growing like crazy, doubling its sales from year to year.

Moreover, it has managed to, who will undoubtedly help the firm expand to markets all around the world.First thing we should say is that Mi3 is an awesome product by any stretch of imagination. Heck, this is arguably one of the BEST LOOKING phones I’ve ever used.

You got that right – the Mi3 is that great! It comes with top-notch specs that include a fast quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 5-inch full HD screen, 13-megapixel camera with Sony-made sensor, 16 or 64 GB of internal storage, and so on and on. The model we’ve got for review gets its power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 rather than NVIDIA Tegra 4, which is used in the TD-SCDMA variant offered by China Mobile. It lacks 4G LTE connectivity support but that should come in an updated model released later in the year.

If you can live with HSPA+ speeds, you can already grab this unit from which was kind enough to give us the unit we’re reviewing here. Otherwise, you can wait for another month or so.Let’s proceed with our review, shall we?UPDATE: now offers 64GB Snapdragon 800 Mi3! The Bad. You’ll have to manually install Google apps to the Mi3. Lack of LTE connectivity could be a deal-breaker.

Xiaomi phones are not available from any major operator in the West.HardwareAgain, we’re talking about a high-end product here, one that easily fits the super-phone category. Back in August of last year we were talking about which plugs into the phone’s 3.5mm headset jack to add new functionality. It can be programmed for a number of tasks such as sending a predefined text message to the select contact, taking a quick photo, opening some app, firing-up the flashlight and so on. Best of all, it supports a number of different actions based on the number of clicks.Pressy started life at Kickstarter and managed to surpass its fund-raising goal in less than a day. We, naturally, loved it. And now we love Xiaomi for using the same idea (or they bought Pressy – we’re not sure) to launch a similar product. The newly unveiled Xiaomi MiKey works just like Pressy but with Xiaomi phones.

It relies on a dedicated app to enable quick actions without unlocking the phone. The button can recognize up to 10 clicks which translates into 10 different actions (or more, again we’re not sure). The best thing is the price. In China, Xiaomi will sell the MiKey for 4.9 Yuan which translates into roughly 80 US cents. Yup, that’s less than a dollar. In comparison, Pressy was pre-selling on Kickstarter for full $17 (seventeen dollars)!

This, obviously, is part of Xiaomi’s strategy to sell more phones rather than make money from this accessory.Availability wise, the Xiaomi MiKey will go on sale on April 8th. We’re hoping that importers, such as, will also be selling these.Posted in Tagged 、、.

Unboxing of the router & images(ALL INSTRUCTION AS BELOWING ) Original editor:KiswumThe package of the router looks like the packages I’ve seen from Xiaomi’s mobile phones. It is made out of brown cardboard with a Mi logo on top and a label with the specifications on the back. The box had a little bump in one corner, but I didn’t notice it until I checked the pictures afterwards. This means that the package is strong enough to receive some beatings during the trip. When you open the package, you will see the router wrapped in a plastic seal. Underneath it you will see the manuals and power adaptor.I was hoping to see at least a EU connector, a network cable and a CD within the package. What I really missed was this EU connector.

This router is meant for Asia and this is the reason why it is not packed with a power connector for Europe/The Netherlands. When you order this router outside China, then make sure that you ask for a converter for the power supply.Contents of the box:. 1 x. 1 x Power cable. 2 x DocumentationThe router looks like a premium product and feels massive (in a good way).

It makes you feel that you are holding a single bay NAS in your hand. This is not very strange, because the router has a harddisk built into the casing.

You can’t see or feel that you are dealing with a low-budget router. What Xiaomi did with the smartphones, they just did it again! They created a low-budget product with the looks of a mid-range to top-market product.I think that the looks are fine, not to fancy or to playful. When you see the images of this router for the first time, you could think it has something to do with the Apple Mac Pro. I must admit that it does have some similarities, but there are many differences in shape and looks.Description of the:On top of the router, you will find a glossy layer with the Mi logo nicely engraved on it.

The rest of the router uses the same material as the Linksys routers. I think the material is called “matte synthetic”. The 2 sides don’t have any buttons or anything else, it’s just clean. The bottom of the router has 4 small rubber pads. If you would remove the pads, you will find a MI logo on the screws, you need to pierce it when you want to remove the screws. When the plate has been remove, then you will probably see the harddisk. On this plate, you will also see the label of the router. The front of the router has just one LED. The LED turns orange while the router starts and changes to blue when the router is ready for usage. The back of the router holds the important connections.

Here you will find the USB, 1Gbit LAN, 1Gbit WAN connectors, reset button and the power connector.Around the top of the router (about 1/3 of the router), there is a grate to release warm air from the router and the harddisk. Functionality of the routerWi-Fi:The router is equipped with 2×2 internal dual-band antennas, which can communicate on the 2,4GHz and 5GHz range. The maximum speed is 300Mbps and 866Mbps for wireless connections. I have tested it for a week with several mobile phones and computers. I have placed the router where most people would put it, near my TV and current internet router.

HongmiRoom

The router is placed in the living room on the 1st floor. I was able to pick up the 5GHz and 2,4GHz network at 40 meters outside my home, but I haven’t really tested the internet connection from that location yet. Send epub to kindle. When I’m in the living room the network connection never dropped, but unfortunately the router wasn’t powerful enough to provide a good connection all the time on the 2nd floor. It can work for the whole day but after a while you can notice that the connection is gone. At that moment you can’t connect to the router, although you can still see the router in the Wi-Fi settings. We experienced the same thing with our other routers. This was the reason we have installed another router/accesspoint on the 2nd floor.

I think we can all agree that the Xiaomi Redmi/1s was never a great phone in terms of style, so why not give it an iPhone makeover with the Xiaocase. However you feel about Xiaomi phones there are some undeniable benefits for choosing the Beijing phone maker, and choice of accessories is one. Due to the huge popularity and demand for their phones, Xiaomi and others have a great range of covers and accessories to choose from. One of the more sophisticated options for the Xiaomi Redmi is the Xiaocase. The optional cover is made of tempered glass and gives your Xiaomi Redmi a more up market, iPhone look and feel. Added style does come at the cost of size though and the alloy/glass body will bring the overall build of the Redmi to 11mm.The Xiaocase for the Xiaomi Redmi/1s is on sale in black now for $19.99 through.Posted in Tagged 、、、、 文章导航.
